May 21 - Trip to the Zoo

Quite a few months back I ask for suggestions and received many - including this one. I seem to have made a mess of keeping track of who gave what suggestion, or more likely while cutting and pasting from one list to the next I chopped the name off. So if this one is yours let me know and I will give credit where credit is due - for now it is just listed as 'contributor unknown'.

After 7 years here I am going to insist that this week Camillo take me to the Rio Zoo. My intention would be to see the main entrance, signs, good and bad, of the care the animals receive, exotic or local animals, favorite section.
Whether it be a petting zoo in the local park or a full fledged ZOO let us see what your town has to offer.

  1. Cheryl says its to soon in the year for zoos to be open.... everything south of the macon/dixon line is probably open - but if I get request from 5 participants with the same problem we can switch with menus from the first week in June.... OKAY I for one don't mind the switch - what do you say?

  2. We do not have a Zoo, unless you call the gangsta's up north animals, lol! Hmmm, I can get creative on that one! I am looking forward to Sarah's 'Menu' theme...

  4. Thanks Ginger. Switching would work better for me.

I can sit this week out if most of you live where the zoos are open.

  5. We too have a year-round lack of zoos. Though I have been building a week-in-the-life of Sienne the Cat, ChefE, if we're keeping the theme. Let us know soon! I haven't the faintest idea what to do for 'menus'.
Perhaps any week where the theme doesn't make sense to you is a freestyle week.

  6. I love the zoo and seem to be going at least once a month these days. We bought a season pass. I just went last week.

  9. We only have one zoo here and it's open all year long. It's my favorite place to visit.
