9 to 5 - People at Work in Your Town
This week you will notice a change in our routine. Rebecca has ask for a break as our main administrator. The work she has so faithfully done for us, for 3 or even 4 years, will be missed; so many big and little things that there are bound to be some hick-up as we try to fill in the big hole she is leaving. I am not sure we actually know all the things she has done each week. Right now, today, the most important is getting the inLINKz to work so that all the posts this week can be entered, and we don't miss anyone's photos. So if you notice something isn't happening that has happened in the past, just leave a comment and I will try to deal with it ASAP.
Meanwhile, thank you! Rebecca for your dedication and, I know I am speaking for everyone, we hope to see you as a regular participant more often now that a little of your time has been freed up.
Our weekly spotlighter is Pauline
Our next weekly theme is : Rush Hour
FTMSO is a group blog kept going by wonderful volunteers who love the idea of sharing our home towns and visiting other places through images. We welcome you to participate in our weekly link-ups and/or get more involved as one of our volunteers.
Many, many thanks to Rebecca for keeping us going for all those years. And a huge thank you, Ginger, for picking up the reins.
ReplyDeletePauline, we will all have a discussion about that. Rebecca ask for relief and I did it for so many years that it was not hard to understand what was necessary, but if anyone would like a turn at setting topics and spending some time revamping the blog I think they should have the opportunity. So let's hear what everyone has to say.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone no how to put 'reply' on the comments. I have it on mine but don't remember how I got it there. I think it would be useful while having discussions.
If you would like me to I could assist in refreshing the look of the blog.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the 'reply' function is only available on a different blogger template. Because it doesn't show up in the Settings. I think it has something to do with the template itself.
Mersad, thanks for the offer. And yes we need to talk about it. Maybe other participants will have ideas, let's get through this weekend, do you have an email address I can put on my list. Send to v.vanstaveren@sbcglobal.net.
ReplyDeleteMy e-mail is mersad18@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteEven though I havent participaed in awhile, I am very grateful to Rebecca and all who help administer this blog. I am very fond of this group and hopefully, I will participate this weekend or soon. Just don't remove my name from the participants list. I know I've been more involved with my mail blog lateley, but I do want to get back into the photography blog.
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving.
Wow it is good to be back. I missed every one and I see things are achanging. That is good. New ideas new things to learn. Rebecca yes thanks to you and all who helped start this fine endeavor. I feel I am only capable of being a spotlighter at this time as my new computer is still not completely installed and this old one is surprising me by coming back to life for a while, I know it is only short lived. I would encourage others who have been with us awhile to give the spotlight rotation a try. It is an excellent way to learn.
ReplyDeleteJarieLyn, you know better, we won't take anyone off the list. I personally like to see names on the inLinkz that haven't been around in a while. And please bring your friends with you when you return. Would be great if our roster grew longer and longer.
